Dr. Carol Kasser, better known as Bubbie the Book Lady, has a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania and an Ed.D. in English education from Temple University. She is a former
Assistant Professor of English and ESL at the Community College of Philadelphia (20 years) and chaplain for The Jewish Chaplaincy and Healing Program (15 years). She is the author or co-author
of two textbooks, including Stories We Brought With Us, a collection of folktales from around the world, and three books on aging and spirituality, including Soul to Soul: A Manual for Compassionate Caregiving,
a book on caring for aging family members. She has been published in Highlights, and Highlights High Five. Carol's nine children's books include Broccoliosaur Stories,
I Brought Home a Skunk, Just Give Me a Box (a parent-child craft book she co-authored), and Bulb-head, a book for Junior High students.
She and her husband Harris live in Bucks County. Carol is a mother of three and grandmother (Bubbie) of five who frequently provide source material for her books. When not writing or doing
educational programs in schools and libraries, Carol likes to travel, swim, and line dance.Contact Carol at
